Welcome to The Belberry Biscuit Company!
The Belberry Biscuit Company hand makes scrumptious gluten and dairy free biscuits and Christmas cakes on the Central Coast of NSW. Our biscuits are produced in a newly built commercial kitchen on our small property in Wyee on the NSW Central Coast.
Our kitchen is 100% gluten and dairy free and our biscuits are laboratory certified as being gluten and dairy free.
We spent many months developing our own gluten free flour blend, avoiding the use of gums that glue many gluten free biscuits together. As much as possible, we have sourced our ingredients from Australian growers and producers. The drought has meant some of our ingredients are not currently available from Australia, but we will be going back to them once they come back on the market.
The sweet, juicy ginger used in the Date and Ginger biscuits is grown in Australia. The macadamias in our Macadamia and White Chocolate biscuits, and pecans in our Spiced Date and Pecan variety, come from NSW and are roasted in our ovens. The chocolate used in our three chocolate varieties is premium quality, Australian made, dairy and gluten free. The refreshingly tangy orange oil in our Orange and Poppyseed biscuits comes from Australian grown oranges. Our eggs are supplied by a local free range egg farm.
We try to keep our recipes as simple as possible with no ‘mystery’ ingredients added. We do not add artificial colours or flavours and do not use salt in any of our varieties. The coconut used in our Macadamia and White Chocolate variety has preservative 202 added to it, but all other varieties are preservative free.
Our cooking methods are the same as you would use at home – our biscuits are handmade using traditional baking methods – we mix the dough, plate it by hand, bake in a large oven, then pack each bag, weigh and seal by hand. No two biscuits are the same – they are all little individuals – and while their appearance may be variable, the fantastic home made taste is always the same.
We have developed a range of six biscuit varieties to tempt a wide range of palates.
